Working Principle

The High Weir Spiral Classifier operates by feeding ground slurry into a sedimentation water tank through the feed port positioned at the middle of the sedimentation area. The spiral rotates at a low speed to stir the slurry, allowing finer particles to remain suspended and flow toward the overflow weir. Coarser particles settle at the bottom and are transported to the discharge port as return sand. The overflow weir is strategically placed higher than the bearing center at the lower end of the spiral shaft but below the upper edge of the spiral at the overflow end, ensuring optimal classification efficiency.
